Ranthambore Fort

Ranthambore Fort is situated high on a hill of about 700ft within the periphery of the Ranthambore National Park near Sawai Madhopur.The beautiful fort lies 5Km inside the park and give magneficient view of the park from the top of the hill .In 2013,Ranthambore Fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group of Hill Forts of Rajasthan.The fort area is nearly 4 square kilometers and surrounded by thick walls which are about 7 kilometers in length.

This is one of the places where one can walk-up in the park.Fort is surrounded by temples,step-wells,palaces,cenotaphs, and old houses.One of the famous Ganesh Temple close to main entry gate to the Fort attracts lot of pilgrims round the year and during annual Ganesh festival thousands of pilgrims visits the temple.
